Ephesians 4:31-32

"Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:  And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you."

Here are the four categories in which we will serve God together for the Chained-2-Christ 2003 Prayer Chain.

Prayer

 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

"Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you."

For prayer, you will be assigned or can choose a 10 minute block of time between 11PM and midnight in which you will pray without ceasing.  Please make sure that you are away from all distractions so that your prayer goes uninterrupted.  Even though you are responsible for a 10 minute block, you can pray longer if you choose to.  Pray for however long you feel you need to pray.

The main topic for prayer is to dedicate our lives and this world to God.  We will surrender ourselves to God, and make a commitment to concentrate more on His Word in 2003.  We will also pray for government leaders, the fatherless, the widows, the poor, the brokenhearted, the lost, the ill, economy, the wealthy, and for children.  This is the focus of the prayer.  Please feel free to add whatever the Spirit leads you to pray for.

Make sure that in your prayer you say this line:

"God, whatever prayers are lifted up in this dedication to you, I stand in agreement with those prayers, and through faith, I believe that it shall come to pass.  We claim this in the name of Jesus Christ our Savior."

Fast

Luke 2:37-38

And she was a widow of about fourscore and four years, which departed not from the temple, but served God with fastings and prayers night and day. And she coming in that instant gave thanks likewise unto the Lord, and spake of him to all them that looked for redemption in Jerusalem.

The fast should be from midnight to midnight March 31, 2003.  This way, we will have fasting for the prayer, for the duration of the prayer chain.  Let the Spirit lead you into how you will fast.

Praise

Psalms 34:1-3

"I Will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make her boast in the Lord: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad. O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together."

Spend 10 minutes giving praise to God.  Acknowledging Him as our Father, our Creator, Lord of Lord, King of Kings, King of Glory, strong and mighty in battle!!!  Whether it be by praise, whether it be by song, however you praise God, give Him 10 non stop minutes of praise.  Again, if you decide to praise longer, by all means, give God his due praise!

Minister

Ephesians 4:11

"And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;"

Whatever your calling is, make sure that you do something on this day.  If you are a prophet, prophesy. If you are an evangelist, evangelize.   If you are a Pastor, preach like youve never preached before.  Not an entertaining message, but a message in which you went to God for, and He gave you the words to say to His people.  If you are a missionary, allow God to guide you in a mission.  If you are an Apostle, let God guide you in establishing a new ministry in 2003.  If you are a teacher, teach someone about Christ.  And for ministries, if you have not scheduled a service, in which most refer to as a Watch night Service, it is not too late to call upon your ministry to get together in prayer as the New Year comes.

1 Corinthians 12:27-28

"Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular. And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues"

All in all, serve God on this day.  Give an offering to the altar, feed the hungry, help the poor, comfort the broken hearted, help the homeless, and most importantly LOVE one another as Christ has loved us, even LOVE our neighbors as we love ourselves.  So this day, let us not be separate people in different countries, let us be one people; the children of God.

Ephesians 4: 12-14

"For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ: That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;"

And when it is all over, let us stay in contact as next year we will do the same thing.  We can also get together and do it for any occasion or time during the year in which we feel prayer is needed.  If we stay in contact, it will not take long to organize and implement a worldwide prayer because we have bridged the gap between countries to work together in our service to God.

Ephesians 4:15-16

"But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:  From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love."
